Services

Aira psychology offers a range of psychological therapies and assessments to individuals, families and the legal system.

Therapies

Therapy services are available to adults and children who are struggling with their mental health. We offer support for trauma, emotional regulation, self-harm and challenges relating to neurodiversity.

Therapy models include CBT, art, integrative, sand tray, EMDR, and narrative systemic approaches.

Parenting course

4-week group-based course for parents covering parenting styles, family scripts (those patterns we repeat), communication, oppositional behaviour in children, and managing emotions. This course is available in person and online. All courses will have a maximum of 5 families attending. Next course April 2025

Diagnostic assessments of ADHD and autism

We provide diagnostic assessments of neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD in adults and children. Assessments can be undertaken online or in person. There are no hidden costs with a clear pricing structure. Post-diagnostic support plans tailored to the individual's strengths and challenges can be developed to help schools and families understand and work with these presentations.

Expert witness Service

Provision of expert witness service to Family and Criminal courts. Work includes assessment of mental health in children subject to private law and Local Authority proceedings, domestic violence risk assessments, child protection issues including psychological trauma, violent and sexual offending risk, neurodiversity, and mental capacity.

Family psychotherapy

In addition to individual based therapies, we offer systemic packages incorporating family support alongside 1:1 therapy sessions. Systemic thinking works on the principle that understanding how people communicate and engage in their groups (e.g., families) can increase opportunities for changing dynamics and reduce the distress of individual group members.

Dawn Robson

Consultant psychologist

Dawn Robson has over 25 years of experience working as a Registered and Chartered psychologist. Over this time she has primarily worked clinically with individuals who have mental health and learning disability needs, within secure settings as well as the community. Dawn's clinical work has focused on a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, psychological trauma, anger and aggression, emotional regulatioharm and domestic violence. Dawn has particular interest and experience working with neurodiverse young people and adults and helping support families and educators working with these presentations. Dawn has many years experience working in forensic settings as well and therefore undertakes assessments as an expert witness for criminal and family courts. "My priority is to ensure that I give a positive and individual service to everyone I see, recognising that there may be mixed feelings for people coming to see a psychologist or "having therapy". I have received feedback from adults, young people and children who I have worked with, who have said that they felt quickly at ease during sessions, listened to and appreciative of my flexibility in adapting sessions to meet their own circumstances and way of expressing themselves".

Sarah Jane Sellers

Integrative arts psychotherapist

I am Sarah Jane, an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, offering a collaborative, creative, and relational approach in my practice. Working therapeutically with the arts offers a gentle and facilitating environment in which to deepen self-awareness and support potential for change, growth, and well-being. I work with all age groups, from children to adults, utilising the arts in many forms including sand play, clay, paints, poetry, and imagination. My clinical experience has been developed in many environments, such as education, community and NHS settings, supporting my flexible, positive, and creative approach. My current private practice provides a safe empathic space in which to explore life worries and challenges in total confidence.
